I have 6 of these helicopters. I use some of them for spare parts for the flying (3) helicopters. True they don't fly forward unless you add weight to the front. You do need to balance them to make them easier to fly (this is important).

Yes, they do break. You need to fly them in open spaces. These are not children toys.

Some advice, if you don't want to break the helicopter, reduce the energy involved before impact. Don't hit anything with the blades powered. If it's falling, temporarily apply power to reduce the falling speed.

These made a really nice beginning toy to learn before you buy a real model helicopter. I have saved tons of money on my MX450 HeliMax helicopter because I fly these. These do fly different, but they are helpful if you want to learn to fly model helicopter.

I do agree, a source of spare parts would be nice.

My son recieved this as a gift from his grandparents. We never got to fly it, because the remote never worked. Brand new batteries out of the package, installed correctly, checked and re checked, but it would never start up. Big disappointment!




He loves his helicopter - LaVonda Horrar -
He has enjoyed his helicopter. It is hard for him to fly indoors, but that's not what it was created to do. The only issue I see with it is that the tail broke fairly quickly. He was able to glue it back together and it works fine.
