Located in Tamil Nadu, a southern state in India is the city of Chennai, the fourth largest city in the country. It has become an extremely popular vacation destination with Indians and international travellers in recent years, primarily because of Marina Beach, the second longest stretch of beach in the entire world. Government Museum and Natural Art Gallery - here are two great attractions to take in while visiting the city of Chennai, one from a cultural standpoint while the other for historical purposes. Known as the museums of Egmore, these were founded in 1857. Just be prepared for a myriad of archaeological, anthropological, botanical, geological, numismatic, and zoological exhibits.
